“We are confident of closing CY 2023 with the highest ever sales numbers. Growth for us came from across our product portfolio with sustained month-on-month performance and in anticipation of the growing market needs we further strengthened our portfolio to meet varied mobility needs of our customers. Our popular models, including the Hilux, Innova Hycross, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, the New Innova Crysta and the Glanza remain instrumental in driving our growth. The enduring appeal of the Fortuner and Legender continues to further strengthen their positions as segment leaders. Camry Hybrid is also making positive contributions to our growth numbers. Furthermore, our recent launches of the Vellfire & Toyota Rumion will enable us to close the year on a record high. Expanding reach and enabling easier access to our entire line-up of products, to our customers ,  also significantly contributed to our achievement. At, present we have 618 touch points across the country with a robust plan to enhance further in 2024.

We also accomplished several key corporate milestones including completion of 25 glorious years of our operations in India, enhancement of operations to 3-shift to address the growing demand, announcement of new investments of INR. 3,300 crores towards expansion of manufacturing facility with the setting up of a new plant, thus underlining our continued and further enhanced confidence on the Indian market.  This year also marks our historic milestone with the unveil of the prototype of the world’s first BS 6 (Stage II) electrified flex fuel vehicle (Innova Hycross), steering ahead the sustainability agenda. The recent, regional restructuring announced by Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) also reemphasizes the pivotal role of India in the company’s global strategy with India now playing an even more crucial role by being integrated into the Middle East, East Asia & Oceania Region. Overall, it has been a good year for the industry with mainly SUVs being seen as the most popular segment. Additionally, there has also been a visible and growing acceptance to electrified vehicle technology which is expected to be a key trend setter for 2024 as well.

Looking ahead, the industry is poised for significant transformation and innovation in 2024, with a greater promise for cleaner, smarter, and more accessible mobility solutions that will shape the future of mobility in India. Thanks to the strongly evolving local manufacturing ecosystem and policy support, India will make great strides in becoming a hub for automobile manufacturing thus softening the impact of expected global geopolitical tensions. At TKM, we are equally confident for the next year, fuelled by the rising demand from tier 2 and 3 markets and overall buoyant customer sentiments. Our primary focus is on further elevating the customer experience to meet their evolving needs. We are also looking forward to creating a lot more buzz around our sustainable offerings in the mass electrification space, contributing to our goal of carbon neutrality. Overall, we are excited and confident for the interesting year that lies ahead of us”.
