WhatsApp Bharat Yatra arrives in Agra to give a digital boost to small businesses

Agra, January 20, 2025: Bringing an exciting opportunity for small businesses and traders to enhance their digital presence, the WhatsApp Bharat Yatra – a first-of-its-kind initiative aimed at providing on-ground, in-person training to small businesses across India – will travel through the city of Agra from January 16 to January 22, 2025. This mobile bus tour is designed to help small businesses fully leverage WhatsApp’s capabilities, enhancing their digital skills and business growth potential.

The mobile bus will travel through some of the city’s most bustling markets, including Shah Market, Sadar Bazaar, Sanjay Palace Market, and Kargil Crossing Market, offering on-the-ground training and support to SMBs eager to grow through digital tools.

This hands-on initiative will help small and medium businesses (SMBs) in Agra understand and unlock the full potential of the WhatsApp business app. Businesses will benefit from interactive demos and personalized training, gaining expert guidance on creating their business profile, setting up a catalog, and crafting ads that drive WhatsApp chats. They will also learn how to leverage key features of the app to establish a strong presence, connect more effectively with customers, close sales, and drive business growth.

Ravi Garg, Director of Business Messaging at Meta India, shared, “WhatsApp is how small businesses in India get business done. From connecting with their customers, to increasing sales and growing their business, all happens on WhatsApp. We are excited to bring this initiative to the city of Agra and help local businesses build their digital presence and offer great in-chat experience to their customers.”

WhatsApp Bharat Yatra was kicked off on December 10th from Delhi NCR, covering various markets and helping thousands of businesses gain a better understanding of WhatsApp Business App. After its Agra stop, the WhatsApp Bharat Yatra will continue to cities such as Kanpur, Lucknow, Indore, Ahmedabad, Surat, Nashik, Mysuru and Vijayawada as part of its mission to enable SMBs across India. This initiative is part of WhatsApp’s broader commitment to supporting the digital transformation of small businesses nationwide.
